Kisah Amni : Makan sudahhh..

Assalamualaikum..

wahhh lama gile tak hapdet..
bz kemainn..uwaaa.. sedih le..
my amni pun dah masuk 6 bulan pun..
sebabnya.. masa survey carik resepi terjumpa 1 link..
kem kesihatan punya...(alahaii mana lah save link aritu.. tak jumpa lak)
so sudah selayaknya la saya start jugak bg makan..

makanya 1st menu adalah..
epal puree + ebm (blend)

hasil suapan kurang memberangsangkan..
2-3 suap jek jalan..
takpela 1st time kan..
2nd day.. puree carrot + kentang + ebm (blend)
3rd -5th day bubur nasi + carrot + kentang (blend)..
pun masih 2-3 suap jek dia mkn..
tapi semalam ..
bagi bubur nasi + carrot+ kismis (blend)..
laju jugak dia makan..
abisla 7-8 suap..
arini bekalkan bubur semalam (dah masuk fridge) + biskut marie
sbb Amni suka sgt kejar + capai mknn org..
sat lagi kakak & along dia mkn kepok2..
dia nak jugak.. so ada biskut ni..
ok skit kot kan..
biskut marie ni buat cam kudap2an dia jekla..
nanti nak cari biskut baby tu plak..

masalah dak kecik ni adalah..
berat beliau ni naik ciput2 aje..
semalam bwk pegi klinik checkup 6 bulan..
naik 300g jek..
so berat sekarang baru - 5.8kg..
teciknya kan..
anak org lain BF sume bam2..
mujur la bwk klinik swasta..
kalo klinik kerajaan maunya kena sound kaw2 ngan misi..
ingat dulu kakak Auni penah kena..
kes sama mcm Amni ni.. berat naik sikit2..
skali misi sound mak dia ni "susu awak tu tak berkhasiat"
pedih jiwa raga dengar statement tu..
dan terngiang2 sampai skrg..
ade ke susu ibu yang tak berkhasiat..??
lepas kejadian tu.. saya tak bawak dah anak2 saya cek kat klinik kerajaan..
dengan alasan...
1.. kena tunggu lama..
2.. mulut misi takde insurans.. (tak semua la)..
3.. ada kemudahan cek dgn swasta silalah guna ye..
walaupun cek kat klinik kerajaan tu agak detail dan free..
tapi sebab banyak masa kena abiskan..
so saya ambil keputusan untuk gi klinik swasta jek..
free jugak kan? company bayar..
ehhh melalut plakk...

oklah sila lah layan gambar budak baru belajar makan ni..

 mula2 bagi dalam walker..

 pehtu baringkan pulak..
then.. dudukkan pulak..

hehe macam2 aksi..
gambar blur sungguh.. camera henpon jek kan
along dia tolong amikkan..
pehtu susu kat mama banyak2 ye sayang..
meh layan gambar org ngantuk ni plak..

"ingat ye.. jangan kacau saya.. saya nak tido ni.."
love this pic... hehe super cute (puji anak sendiri la khenn sape lg nak puji....)

Kisah Breastfeeding : Susu merudum

Assalamualaikum..

lately ni saya notice that..
pengeluaran susu kurang memberangsangkan..
udah semakin kurang..
kurang 1-2oz gak setiap kali sesi pengepaman..
amni pulak dah semakin kuat menyusu..
semalam aje abis 7 botol x 3 oz dia minum..
selalunya 2 je stok frozen yg keluar..
semalam uwan dia siap turunkan yg frozen seketul..
selalunya memang saya standby kan 2 ketul susu frozen dlm fridge MIL..
in case 6 botol tu tak cukup..
kalau tak guna susu tu saya turunkan siap2 sebelum balik rumah petang tu..
so esoknya hanya bawak 4 botol fresh milk  plus 2 yg frozen ganti yg dh turun tu..
gitulah rutinnya setiap hari..

duhhh risauu.. risau..
nak kena amik supplement dah ke ni..?
malam tadi pulak saya dah start amik MAB - Maajun Anggun Bistari..
untuk kesihatan diri sendiri..
sebab rasa badan ni asik sakit2 je..
pastu kan pagi tadi susu macam lagi kurang dari biasa..
selalunya leh dapat 7-8 oz le standard tiap pagi..
pagi ni hanya dapat 5oz je..
before makan dah kaji2 dalam web..
memang tak effect susu..
sebab tu macam kuat kan diri gak amik MAB ni..
kalo susu makin merudum...
abis satu botol mungkin tak ambil dah kot..
harap2 ok lahh..

mm tu jekla untuk hari ini..
time to work..
bz lah sekarang ni...
takde masa sangat nak menghapdet blog..
sebelum tu nih gambar MAB tu..
gambar ihsan google ye..

Kisah Breastfeeding: Saya seorang Ibu Susuan?

Assalamualaikum..

semalam saya EL sebab Amni demam lagi rabu tu..
so saya decide nak bg full attention kat dia..
bagi dia sihat betul2..
nak direct feed dia.. sbb breastmilk kan ubat terbaik utk baby..
tiba2 tghari tu MIL call minta saya datang rumah..
sebab kena tunggu along balik dari sekolah petang tu.
MIL nak ke umah besan dia..
kan baru dapat cucu lelaki isnin tu..
so MIL kena teman adik ipar saya untuk bawa uwan urut ke umah besannya tu..

tengahari tu dalam kul 2 tu...
berjalan la kami 3 beranak ke umah MIL..
tapi bila sampai sana tetiba MIL ubah plan plak..
memula MIL cerita.. sian kat baby adik ipar saya tu..
menangis sebab tak cukup susu..
susunye ada tapi susu kolustrum..banyak mana jek kan..
dari kat hospital masuk 2nd day dia start nangis..
ok pendek citer.. my MIL pun cakap..
"takpun jomlah kau pegi skali.. susukan Aaron (Aaron kau nama mak pak dia kasi..)
sian dio monangih yo kojo eh susu mak dio x cukup.."
tokojut acik kojap..blurr
trus tanya MIL boleh ke??
MIL kata "apo lak taklehnyo.. adik ngan abg kan adik bradik..
kalo biaso pun memnag takleh kawin.."
sebenarnya bukan itu yang saya risaukan...
tapi saya risau.. ok ke biras saya kalo saya susukan anak dia..
MIL pun kata tak ade apelah...
anak2 korang nanti pun mcm adik beradik..
saya pun call asben minta kebenaran..
memula asben pun mcm saya.. boleh ke??
lps tu saya explain plak kat dia mcm yang MIL explain..
so asben pun setuju..

maka berbondong2lah kami 1 kereta ke sana..
nervous gak saya.. bimbang penerimaan belah family biras saya tu..
tapi rupa2nya dorang memang sedang tunggu kami datang..
siap telefon 2-3 kali tanya bila nak sampai..
sebab baby dah lama nangis...
sampai2 jek trus biras saya cakap and bagi baby kat saya..
"nah.. gi nenen kat maklong.."..
tak sempat cuci tangan pun lagi..
saya terus capai ambil baby dan susukan dia..
mujurlah time tu my amni dah lepas nenen kenyang2..
memang syok la baby Aaron nenen..
laju je tgk dia isap..
tak lama tu trus lena..

tapi dah namanya baby boy...
memang kuat menyusu..
dalam 1/2 jam lepas tu dia bangun balik.. nangis..
saya ambil dan susukan lagi...
seronok tgk dia isap..mcm tak cukup nafas..
sebab susu laju je turun..
sepanjang 2 jam ade kat situ.. 3 kali saya susukan dia..
KALAU dia still nangis masa nenen kat mak dia..
then baru bagi susu yang saya perah tu..

malam tu masa adik ipar saya nak balik semula ke umah MIL dia..
lepas hantar kami..
saya bekalkan lagi 2 botol frozen EBM saya yg berkuantiti 7oz..
untuk  bekalan sekiranya masih susu mama Aaron belum banyak..
adik ipar saya kata masa datang ambil susu..
susu 2oz yang saya bekalkan dah abis..
tapi Alhamdulillah malam tu adik ipar saya call mak..
baby Aaron dah boleh susu kat mak dia..
jap tadi dia nyusu then terus tido..
maknanya mesti dah ade susu kan..
syukur Alhamdulillah..

tengok betapa cantiknya perancangan Allah..
syukur padamu Ya Allah..

selepas 3 kali penyusuan direct..
dan dicampur susu yang saya pam..
adakah saya telah menjadi seorang ibu susuan..??
sebab pernah saya baca ustaz kata 5 kali penyusuan sehingga kenyang..

saya puji semangat mak dia..
yang tak mahu bagi anaknye susu formula..
memang dorang berdua takde pun stdby susu formula..
puji jugak family my biras tu..
both mak and ayah dia takde pun berkeras suruh gi beli FM..
bagus.. bagus saya suka..
saya bangga tengok orang BF baby dia..

En Shamz pulak keluar statement begini malam tadi..
"tak pasal2 abah dah ade 4 orang anak.."
dalam hati rasa bangga jugak dapat jadi ibu susuan
macam Halimatussaadiah - ibu susuan nabi kita - Nabi Muhammad S.A.W..

nanti saya share gambar baby Aaron ye..

Kisah info & ilmu : My expressed breastmilk doesn’t smell fresh.

Assalamualaikum..

rupa2nya simpan susu dlm plastik linear tu pn ade kekurangannya..
yg terbaik store our EBM dalam bekas kaca (mahal kottt)..
or bekas plastik keras mcm bekas dadih are much2 better than plastic linear..

My expressed breastmilk doesn’t smell fresh. What can I do?

July 28, 2011. Posted in: Milk handling/storage
Human milk that has truly soured has a very distinct sour taste and odor – much like soured cow’s milk. If your milk doesn’t smell distinctly sour or rancid, then it should be safe to give to your baby.
If you repeatedly notice that your stored milk doesn’t smell or taste fresh, it might help to go through your storage procedures to see if there is something you could do to improve the smell/taste of your milk:
  • Storage containers: Standard glass or plastic bottles (or any type of leak-proof food storage containers) are acceptable for storing mother’s milk, as are disposable bottle liners or “mother’s milk” bags. The best materials are glass or food-grade polypropylene or polybutylene (hard) plastic. Polyethylene bags (bottle liners) do not preserve nutrients and immune properties as well as glass or hard plastic. (Jones & Tully 2005)
    • If you’re using standard plastic bottle liners, instead try using bags specifically designed for storing human milk.
    • If you’re storing in plastic, try glass instead.
  • Storage conditions:
    • Do you plan to freeze the milk? If you’re not expecting to use refrigerated milk within 5-8 days of expression, then freeze as soon as possible after expression. Use as soon as possible after thawing (but always within 24 hours).
    • Make sure that all packages in your refrigerator or freezer are sealed well, so that your milk cannot absorb odors from other foods. A box of baking soda placed in the refrigerator or freezer may help to absorb odors.
    • Store your milk in the BACK of the refrigerator or freezer, not in the door. Don’t store your milk against the wall of a self-defrosting freezer.
    • Is your freezer cold enough? If your freezer keeps ice cream hard, then the temperature is right.
A few mothers find that their refrigerated or frozen milk begins to smell or taste soapy, even though all storage guidelines have been followed closely. Per Lawrence & Lawrence (p. 781), the speculation is that these mothers have an excess of the enzyme lipase in their milk, which begins to break down the milk fat soon after the milk is expressed. Most babies do not mind a mild change in taste, and the milk is not harmful, but the stronger the taste the more likely that baby will reject it.
Lipase is an enzyme that is normally present in human milk and has several known beneficial functions:
  • Lipases help keep milk fat well-mixed (emulsified) with the “whey” portion of the milk, and also keep the fat globules small so that they are easily digestible (Lawrence & Lawrence, p. 156).
  • Lipases also help to break down fats in the milk, so that fat soluble nutrients (vitamins A & D, for example) and free fatty acids (which help to protect baby from illness) are easily available to baby (Lawrence & Lawrence, p. 156).
  • The primary lipase in human milk, bile salt-stimulated lipase (BSSL), “has been found to be the major factor inactivating protozoans” (Lawrence & Lawrence, p. 203).
Per Lawrence & Lawrence (p. 158), the amount of BSSL in a particular mother’s milk does not vary during a feed, and is not different at different times of day or different stages of lactation. There is evidence that there may be a decrease in lipase activity over time in mothers who are malnourished.
Many mothers who need to store their expressed milk but have problems with excess lipase sometimes wonder whether changing their diets may help. This post to the LLLI forums discusses some ideas from human milk researcher Leon Mitoulas about this question:  Can diet changes help with the Lipase issue?
What can I do if my storage problem is due to excess lipase? Once the milk becomes sour or rancid smelling/tasting, there is no known way to salvage it. However, newly expressed milk can be stored by heating the milk to a scald to inactivate the lipase and stop the process of fat digestion. Scald the milk as soon after expression as possible.
To scald milk:
  • Heat milk to about 180 F (82 C), or until you see little bubbles around the edge of the pan (not to a full, rolling boil).
  • Quickly cool and store the milk.
Scalding the milk will destroy some of the antiinfective properties of the milk and may lower some nutrient levels, but this is not likely to be an issue unless all of the milk that baby is receiving has been heat-treated.
Per Lawrence & Lawrence, bile salt-stimulated lipase can also be destroyed by heating the milk at 144.5 F (62.5 C) for one minute (p. 205), or at 163 F (72 C) for up to 15 seconds (p. 771).

What if your milk tastes/smells sour, or even rancid, rather than soapy?
If your milk tastes/smells sour or rancid rather than soapy, the cause may be chemical oxidation rather than lipase (Mohrbacher, p. 461). Mom’s intake of polyunsaturated fats may be involved, or  free copper or iron ions in her water. When this happens, Mohrbacher has a few suggestions to try:
  • avoid your usual drinking water (either drinking it or having milk come into contact with it)
  • avoid fish-oil and flaxseed supplements, and foods like anchovies that contain rancid fats
  • increase your antioxidant intake (including beta carotene and vitamin E).
